We we're super bored on Saturday night & I was way too tired from Friday night to go out again so we decided to make the most of the 24hr-Kmart that is only a short drive from our house. You'd never expect that there would be a lot of people shopping at 11 O'clock at night but there actually was - hence the lack of photos.
P.s so sorry for the lack of posts - I'm extremely sick right now and I'm not exactly sure what I'm sick with. But all I know its that I can't eat or drink because that leads to ....feeling more sick. But today I'm feeling a little better. I'll get grace to post the rest sometime today because its the last day of August & the last day of Winter. Welcome Spring! Yay!

I was off to uni and work today so typically I had to wear my glassons gear - which by the way I absolutely love atm! As much as I thought about keeping on the wedges my brother was already complaining about me having a "mid-drift" so I slipped on a khaki singlet underneath and as for the wedges, well... it was actually Grace that made up my mind because she kept saying things like:
"You don't want to be that girl at uni who wears the heels"
"Don't blame me if people laugh at you"
"Only wear them if your prepared to deal with the consequences" etc etc. So I decided to ditch the wedges and opt for a more appropriate footwear - the sure fit brown ankle boots which you've all seen me (and my sisters) wear. This is just a quickie post, but I will post again after the weekend because I've got a lot planned: Burwood, Bondi, Kings X, Bondi, Burwood, home, brothers soccer game, Bondi, home. I haven't been to bondi in a while but I think after this weekend, I guess I won’t be missing it for a loooonnngg time. Have an awesome weekend! Don't forget to live for every moment!

SUNSHINE & LOLLIE POPS

Photobucket
How cool is this? So I walked out from my first tutorial of the day and I see my friend from uni chilling on the lawn selling her old stuff. Who would have thought right? Uni: a place to sell? I thought she was very clever for doing this & even more clever to utilizing her resources around her... she found the table and these cool vintage floral chairs that matched the vibe of her vintage type stall all from the building across from her. Instead of going to my uni lecture, this is what I did because chillin' in the sun enjoying life is far better than sitting in a claustrophobic room checking facebook every 5 seconds.

Sunshine and lollie pops, it is all I can think about right now because today has been such a great day! I don't know whats up... but I'm in such a good mood. Maybe it was listening to calming tunes of Missy Higgins on the way home? Or Maybe it was because I cut uni short & hung out with my friends *pictured above* on the uni lawn? I'm not too sure what it was, but I definitely think it has something to do with this immaculate weather we have been blessed with - warm weather and a cloudless sky. I can feel spring!  I'm so excited!
On another note, check out these posters suck around my uni campus today... (besides the weather) they made my day.

Pictured is: J.Gillard starring as the Red Queen, K. Rudd as the Cat and T. Abbott as Alice.
I thought the posters enlightened the whole political situation at the moment.. it gave me a bit of a laugh so I just had to share it with you all.
I hope you all had a wonderful day! Enjoy the end of winter & welcome Spring with some floral prints, open-toed sandals and some ice-cream.. yummm!
xx B

UPDATE: my mum just rang and she is coming home early today! Honestly, this is one of the happiest days of my life!

 guestpost: grace here..
Three sisters - One blog - what more could you ask for?
With the sun out, Angelica Baz and I took a trip down to the park to take a few happy snaps while it was still shorts-and-singlet weather - we left the cardigans and stockings at home and worked a bit on our tans - although we didnt exactly need it.
With spring just around the corner what's not to love?
We'd been talking about wearing dresses and sandals, shorts and barely-there-tops, the promise of ditching uni and going to the beach and long days ending in 8pm sunsets that we got a bit carried away and forgot one critical spring-time-element...
psychopathic magpies.
It has to be said that we had a close encounter near-death-experience with these
giant-rats-with-wings
We were trying to get some shots with the trees when a few crazed-baby-mama-magpies swooped dangerously close to our heads until we finally had the sense to run in hysterics to (relative) safety (Baz with her new Sam Edelman monstrous wedges I might add)
So, just a warning to all you bloggers out there, enjoy the sun, bring out the dresses and short shorts - get your spring-time on - but stay clear of trees, large bushes or unsuspect gutters where psychopathic bird-baby-mothers may be likely to make you run like forrest all the way home -
or if you do decide to brave it to get some outside shots, dont wear heels
the birds WILL get you (see: Hitchcock - The Birds)
Other than that - SPRING IS ALMOST HERE! Get excited people, have a great weekend :)
xoxo G

NB: Contrary to popular opinion Baz doesnt take her photos on self-timer I actually take them for her... cause I'm a great sister and baz you better be getting me something awesome for Christmas :)

PEACE.

Yesterday, I was walking around my room looking for what to wear and I literally stumbled over my country road bag & all my unpacked clothes from the weekend. I looked down and saw my leopard tights that I bought ages ago from Sportsgirl and haven't worn in such a long time. I was a bit hesitant to wear them to uni because its soo cold at my uni but the sun was shining through my window and it looked really warm so I thought.. 'what the heck! lets do it!' I pulled out my Evil Twin Romper I bought from this boutique in Cairns earlier this year, paired in with some black socks, boots & beige jacket.. VIOLA! this slightly daring outfit was born.
p.s thanks to who ever washed my tights, they are now slightly green... hmm adds more uniqueness to them, don't you think?

Hope you all have had an amazing start to your week!
I'm off to finish/start my 16 still photo essay for my film studies course. Wish me Goodluck!

Lots of love, B.
update: something very exciting just got delivered to my door. ahhh will post it soon!

I wore: Glassons cropped T & Thigh-hi socks, Thrifted belt, F21 bracelet, Pandora, Rubi Stud Bracelets, Marc Jacobs ring, Diva ring, Bardot Necklace, Jeffrey Campbell Clinics & Patterned skirt from ... I really don't remember?
We planned to hit up TANK for the launch of FAKE and then eventually stumble down to 77. Although I didn't even make it to 77 (FYI: my  fav. club) the night was still so much fun - just dancing & being hilarious in the hotel room & a 45minute appearance at TANK! haha I love my friends, they complete my life!
Below was our great views of the City of Sydney when we stayed at the Meriton World Tower on Saturday night. Although I was slightly scared to get too close to the window & look down, the view was absolutely insane!

I wore: Glassons mania - harem pants, basic T, Rubi boots, Sportsgirl duffle bag, random Ten-dollar turban, ebay grey ant inspired sun glasses & avocado black leather jacket.
So this is what I wore to work, hence everything is Glassons - Bar the leather jacket, shoes & Turban. The harem pants are perfect! Finally, after numerous attempts at trying to pull of some of Glassons harem pants, the fit is perfect for me and the pattern is just amuzz! Before the sky dimmed and the moon awoke I had to take these snaps also before I had to get changed & prepare for one of my bestfriends birthdays! We headed out to Criniti's Darling Harbour aka the former best restaurant in the world (I say former because both the birthday girl & my good friend got food poisoning + my carbonara was soo salty!). Bar that, I thoroughly enjoyed my evening & started the weekend with one of these small, but deadly drinks.

Meet: THE KARMASUTRA. looks so nice, and tastes soo good but don't be fooled people! This cocktail is not for the faint hearted. haha

I hope you all had wonderful weekends!
Lots of love, B.

Annie Leibovitz. Just wow. You personify amazing! I know this shoot that she did for Vogue is what many of you would call old  but I think it is timeless. Its so beautiful that I would love to see Annie Leibovitz shoot for vogue every month with this whimsical, fairytale theme to it. During my film studies class last week we did some talk about Leibovitz and her shoot with the Queen, and to my surprise no one in my class knew who she was. I felt like screaming "DON'T YOU KNOW? SHE IS THE PHOTOGRAPHER WHO DID A MAGICAL ALICE IN WONDERLAND SHOOT FOR VOGUE THIS YEAR!" but of course i restrained myself as there was a girl who interns for Vogue Australia in my class and I didn't want to show her up.. haha totally kidding. but really if you don't know who she is I recommend you firstly scroll down below and check out her work, and secondly watch the documentary of Annie Leibovitz: Life through a lens which you can watch a little bit of here
I remember watching the documentary on her randomly when I was bored at home being like 'Who is this woman?' But I actually fell in love with her work then and there , she is so inspiring - to be able to hold an endless creativity, capture it and share it with the world. She is truly amazing.

I think her real genius is capturing the personalities of the designers. To me she has made them come to life and see how playful they really are. She has exposed them for what they are and reminded us that they are not only a a fashion label but fun, creative bodies just like all of us - well I'd like to think so.
