Behind the lens.

Just when I thought all the fun & games were over after the shoot, they were evidently not. For those of you who 'LIKED' the Little Lady Love Facebook Fan page you've already been witness to my bumpy road to debuting this film. I was punked. Big time. As I am the most gullible person to walk the planet, my friend Leeway (who made the film) made it his duty to keep himself entertained knowing that I would easily believe him. It is my no.1 flaw. His direct words were "Its all deleted... Sorry I don't have any footage. Sorry man" I'm the silly goose who believed him and went into a panic attack followed by tweets fuelled by frustration, and facebook messages out to all those who clicked attending for the film event. Now the jokes are over, the film is here. Sit back, relax and enjoy.

Finally, I would really love to thank Gabriel Duran for your vision and making mine come alive, to Belle Pagano for always knowing the best and perfect locations, to Shannon Lawson for bringing your personality to the shoot and making everyone smile, and to Alexander Lee for his sense of humour and creative direction. For all of you doing this for free, building our portfolios together, and travelling across the corners of Sydney - Thankyou.

4am wakeup, 5am rounding up the troops in fog & pitch black, sipping on Up&Go, makeshift hair & makeup on a rock, running through thick sand & making pretty pictures. Behind the scenes we were delirious due to lack of sleep; constantly quoting videos of youtube, dropping our shapes in the sand, climbing rocks, and ruining my boots in the beach water. There's heaps more pretty pictures but I couldn't post them all here so check them all out on Little Lady Love's Facebook page here

M I S S I N G.

Here is just one of the many reasons for my absence.

Get excited! Just one of the 8 looks in my most recent project that I put together with a few friends. I haven't seen all the pics so as soon as I see them, you will see them too. Looks as though tomorrow night I will be flicking through hundreds of photos trying to select a winner. My eyes will end up looking like this o_0  haha oh & follow me on twitter (@LittleLadyyLove) to get instant updates and know things first and 'Like' Little Lady on Facebook to show me some love! I've got a surprise coming with the post of the shoot. Hopefully its as good as I think it will be :)

xoxo from this little lady.

It's a new generation

ss 11/12

Clean lines, its all about the detail
This tailored, sheer shirt = on my wish list
This was my show stopper! I'm absolutely in love with A. the yellow draping and B. that thick metal belt. Me wantie!
Meet Gloria and Grace Mok, the sister duo behind the modernly feminine label.
I think the collection speaks for itself, and I love it. I loved that they opened the New Generation Show, I loved that they opened with a short film by Nirrimi from We Live Young (check out the film on her blog here) and most of all I love their soft tailoring and beautiful detailing. Mok Theorem is definitely a label on the rise, so you better check them out here. Also you can buy their equally amazing label White Euphoria at 100 squared in Westfield Sydney to feed your Mok Theorem addiction. Yes I am addicted. Btw, I'm not sure if I told you but I actually won two tickets to their show via facebook! How amazing is that? I never win anything!! So thank you so much Grace and Gloria, it was so great to see your collection come to life in all the RAFW magic.

All of the brights at RAFW

From never winning anything, I was one lucky girl this week being invited to Arnsdorf last minute & winning two tickets to the New Generation show featuring Mok Theorem. Of course I took my beautiful friend Thomai. Don't you love her red blazer? I love it.

Zara double breasted blazer (borrowed from Angel as well as her M.Kors watch), Glassons singlet, ZigZag pants from Hipster,  Zimmermann Clutch, YSL ring, Lovisa cuff, Sunglasses from 100 squared & Sam Edelman boots.
My luck didn't end at the shows, I also got to see my beautiful friend Lauren who I rarely see, and when we do see each other we only slip in a few slurred words & a cheeky boogie on the d-floor. So it was great to see her snapping some seriously stylish fashionistas around the Quay.

Keep your eyes peeled, Runway pics will follow. I'm currently blogging from my hotel with my family, so I've got to be quick!

xxo your little lady,

As a big lover of bright colours I immediately fell in love with Arnsdorf as I flicked through some of their pieces at The Corner Shop. It was actually a pair of silky orange pants that got me hooked! So you can imagine my excitement when the night before RAFW started when I get told via facebook that they've put me on the list. I was ecstatic! And could not wait for it to begin.

Fuchsia is set to be a big trend
Those linen pants with mint detailing...mmmmm
Dear, Gold envelope clutch. Pls, be mine!

The colours went from soft pastel orange, mint and ivory to bold colours like pink and fuchsia. Silhouettes and lines were kept quiet simple with a loose type of tailoring. Initially I was a little disappointed with the collection and presentation. However, when I saw the collection again via tuula I appreciated it much more... maybe it was because she was front row and I... well was far from it.. literally. (Her pictures actually show the fine details and texture of the garment) Overall I did like the collections simplicity and I'm already picturing in my head what I would wear some of the pieces with... the mint green asymmetrical top would look perfect teamed with those patterned pants I loved from Zimmermann.

xxo possibility I might be at RAFW later this week... eeeep.

Inspiration for Zimmermann Halcyon Days SS 11/12 via Shopbop blog
Structured dresses with geometric lines, tailoured pants, enlarged lace inserts, pops of signature Zimmermann floral floral print, and a natural development of colour from ivory through to pastels, mustard and a strong array of light blue.

This mustard leather skirt. Yum.

The ManiaMania Jewellery really topped it off and finished the look. I want! I want! I want!
Very proud when Kelsey stomped it out on the runway, yes I am team Kelsey.
I am really in love with this outfit. It is perfection.
Most garments had some sort of back detailing: cut outs, lace panels, and that nice origami-like detail on the back of the aqua dress.

The pre-show atmosphere for the first official show of Australian Rosemount Fashion Week for 2011 was electric! Among the fashion pack were Susie from Style Bubble, Christine Centenera Fashion Editor of Harpers Bazaar, Phil Oh from Street Peeper, Tommy Ton from Jak&Jil, and Kate Waterhouse - just to name a few. I must admit I was pretty excited/intimidated/happy at their presence.

I think what makes RAFW so special is that it is not only a celebration of Australian designers and their hard work, but also a synergy between all those involved in the Fashion industry: models, designers, buyers, customers, bloggers, photographers, hairdressers and makeup artists. Being around there for even a day has left me inspired with this sort of 'creative energy'.

xxo your little lady,
